Ala Wai Field Study

In an early field study conducted by HDC Products as an exhibition, permits were pulled to acquire dirty water from the Ala Wai Canal, a notoriously contaminated waterway near Honolulu.

Seen below is a 120 gallon tank with the test water, standard pool pump, filter, HDC's Aquarev Pool Unit, flow gauges and a mixing bypass line included as a comparisons (filter vs. filter WITH HDC). This circuit was run to cycle the water for x24complete passes before it was finally consumed* by our fearless engineers. Following images show the water at start, 12 passes, and 24 passes.

*DO NOT ATTEMPT. FIELD STUDY WAS CONDUCTED AS AN EXHIBITION BY WILLING ADULTS (debatable) AND PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS WITH ADVANCED WATER QUALITY TESTING EQUIPMENT. HDC PRODUCTS DOES NOT RECOMMEND CONSUMING WASTE WATER - DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME* (AQUAREV POOL&SPA DEVICES ARE NOT DESIGNED TO TREAT WASTE WATER FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION: DO NOT ATTEMPT)
